Select an incident of racial violence or medical experimentation in Greater Cincinnati. In 1-2 paragraph(s) explain what happened and what forces/systems contributed to the event. Then in following 1-2 paragraph(s) share your ideas of what might be done to commemorate this history. Post on the fellowship discussion board between Sept 26 and Oct 2nd. The following week, reply to 2 of your classmates in 2-3 sentences sharing what you liked about their post, what you agree/disagree with, what it made you reflect more deeply on, or a new idea it inspired. Deadline for the replies is Oct 16th.
QI Practice Project Step 6 (Post by June 30th)
You should be/have already completed implementation and now focusing on gathering post-intervention data. Please share what barriers and successes you’ve had thus far, and what else you need to wrap up your project.
QI Practice Project Step 5 (Post by April 30)
We are down to the last few months of QI work (you will want to use the last 2 months to work on your presentations about your project). Everyone should be fully into implementation. Please describe your intervention and discuss where you are in the process of implementing. Be sure to share any successes you’ve had.
QI Practice Project Step 6 (post by May 31)
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted each of our offices in a variety ways. How have your projects changed or been impacted by the pandemic? What have you done or plan to do to address these issues? What do you need from the fellowship to support you in your project?
QI Practice Project Step 4 (post by March 30)
You should now be considering the best intervention to implement to address the findings of your baseline data. As you move into the implementation phase, what do you think your greatest hurdles to implementation will be? How might you navigate them? What resources can you leverage?
QI Practice Project Step 3 (Post by January 31st)
Consider the data you have gathered for your project. This may be called pre-intervention data and/or needs assessment. Please share what types of data you have gathered and what general trends you have noticed. You do not need to post the actual data/numbers.
QI Practice Project Step 2 (post by December 31)
What data gathering strategies are you considering to gather your baseline data for your QI project? Are there benefits or down sides? What logistics are you considering? Assessment strategies may include (but are not limited to) interviewing colleagues/staff/patients, surveys, chart reviews, cycle times, etc. Remember: the N doesn’t need to be large for QI….
